Phase two of Steppe Gold LTD’s ATO gold mine is set to begin operations by 2025 according to the mine’s executive.
Located in the northern part of the Mongolian central Asian Country, ATO gold mine holds a gold-bearing resource rate of 9.3 million ounces, making it one of the few large-scale gold mines in the region.
After a successful Phase one of the mine’s development and successful first gold pour in late April 2021, Steppe Gold LTD is excited to pursue the next level of development in the mine.
The Chief Executive of Steppe Gold LTD, Bill Trenlett, is confident that Phase two of the ATO gold mine can reach production levels of approximately 50,000 ounces of gold per year by 2025, which is an incredible milestone for the region.
With this project, ATO gold mine’s potential is finally being realized. In addition to the large-scale presence of gold in the region, the potential for additional resources—such as copper and silver—has been identified, giving the mine an additional boost of profitability.
The mine’s operations are seen as vital to the northern part of Mongolia, as Steppe Gold LTD is able to make direct payments to local communities in order to help improve infrastructure and provide job opportunities.
Overall, the development of ATO gold mine is expected to have a positive and far-reaching economic impact in the region, with the entire project having the potential to generate a great amount of wealth within the local and regional economy.
With Phase two of operations set to begin by 2025, Steppe Gold LTD is confident that the mine’s production capabilities will be well up and running at that point. By advancing the development of the mine, Steppe Gold LTD is determined to make a positive impact not only in the region but across the world.
