Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. has announced yet another series of results from its exploration at the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project.
The company’s recent drill program showed an impressive gold intersection of 15.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 32.3 metres. This intersection was obtained from 129.9m to 162.2m depth at the Kinsley Mountain gold deposit. The gold intersection is located within K9-50, and it appears to confirm and expand the mineralization at the Kinsley Mountain gold deposit.
This new discovery of gold minerals reinforces the geologic model for the deposit, and presents further encouragement for the exploration of other areas of the project. This also adds more to the potential of the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project and potential for future development.
The Kinsley Mountain Gold Project is situated in northern Nevada and so far contains a historic resource estimate of 109,000 gold ounces. The company believes that the gold resource has the potential to be further expanded over time.
The drill program which resulted in the current new intersection of 15.3 g/t gold over 32.3 metres, is part of the company’s Mission I mineral expansion program in order to sustain resource expansion. The target for the mineral expansion program was to achieve a minimum of 20,000 additional gold ounces in order to support increased tonnage of ore for processing at the existing permitted processing facility.
The core hole was drilled in an east-west direction and was inclined to the south at a dip of -50 degrees. In total, the company drilled areal patterns ranging between 75 to 150m and drilled depths of 25 to 150m in order to test for mineralization in different areas. In addition to drilling, other exploration work done included geological mapping and soil geochemistry.
Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp has stated that they are currently analyzing all of the data that they gathered from their exploration work, in order to gain a better understanding of the gold mineralization at the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project. In addition, they are also planning further drilling in the near future to further extend the gold mineralization and resources for the project.
Overall, this new announcement of 15.3 g/t gold over 32.3 metres is yet another impressive step forward for the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project. With more exploration and analysis coming, this project could be a major success for Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp, and the results from the project have the potential to open many other doors for the company.
