Skyharbour Resources Ltd (TSX-V:SYH) (OTCQB:SYHBF), an exploration company focused on uranium development in Canada’s Athabasca Basin, is pleased to report the initial results from its recently completed drilling program at the Russell Lake Uranium Project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The program was designed to test several priority targets including two uranium bearing boulder fields, a mineralized outcrop and a lake sediment anomaly.
Results from the 5 drill holes completed to date demonstrate the potential of the project, and include:
• 1.21% U3O8 over 0.30 metres from Russell Lake boulder field;
• 0.85% U3O8 over 0.51 metres from Russell Lake boulder field; and
• 0.55% U3O8 over 0.57 metres from Lake Sampson anomaly.
The assay results confirm uranium mineralization in the project area, and the Company is now evaluating these results to identify its next steps and targets. Skyharbour’s 100% owned Russell Lake Uranium Project consists of four contiguous claims totalling 11,367 hectares, located 14 kilometres northeast of Fission Uranium Corp.’s Triple R uranium deposit (a combined indicated and inferred resource of 30.18 million lbs U3O8), and covers a large area of seismically and geochemically anomalous basement rocks prospective for unconformity-type uranium deposits.
Skyharbour is planning to rapidly advance the project by conducting a follow-up winter drill program. This program will be designed to follow up on the initial drill results, and test high priority targets identified from the prior drill testing and geophysical surveying. Furthermore, the Company is also actively engaged in exploration and mineral assessment initiatives at its Moore Uranium Project and is expecting to begin a drill program at Moore in the near future.
Skyharbour is committed to developing its suite of projects in the Athabasca Basin, and has positioned itself with four projects and multiple drill-ready targets. Notably, the Company has attracted blue-chip institutional shareholders, and is positioned well to create value through uranium exploration and development. Skyharbour’s focus as a uranium development company enables it to take advantage of the current pricing environment, and look to maximize shareholder value through exploration success.
The Athabasca Basin is renowned for uranium production and hosts the world’s premier high grade uranium deposits including Cigar Lake and McArthur River. Skyharbour, as a uranium exploration and development company with strong institutional backing, is advancing its projects towards resource potential. The initial drill results from Russell Lake have demonstrated the project’s potential to host high grade uranium mineralization and the Company now proposes a follow-up winter drill program to move the project forward.
