“Drill Into Profitable Possibilities: Canada Silver Cobalt Embarks on Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Mining Mission in Quebec
Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. is pleased to announce that it has begun drilling operations at its Lowney-Lac Édouard Cobalt-Nickel-Copper Prospect in Quebec, Canada. The company is targeting cobalt-nickel-copper mineralization in the area. The planned start of the diamond drilling program was delayed due to weather-related issues. However, the program commenced with the drilling of the first hole on December 6, 2020. The company expects to complete an additional five holes for a total of 1,200 meters of drilling. The Lowney-Lac Édouard project is located in the northwestern portion of the Temiscamingue region of Quebec. The project is taking place on a 324-hectare area and includes two areas known as Lowney and Lac Édouard. The objective of the diamond drilling program is to test the mineralization at the two regional targets. The company believes that the Lowney property is the most prospective due to its better-defined mineralized zone that has returned higher grade intervals of cobalt, nickel, and copper. The other target, Lac Édouard, has also shown potential in early stage mapping and sampling. Cobalt is an important component in the lithium-ion battery industry, for which a rising demand is expected. This increasing demand and the potential of the Lowney-Lac Édouard project have prompted Canada Silver Cobalt Works to focus on exploring the area. The drilling program will use NQ-sized diamond drills and will focus on the order of 20-meters depth, followed up by assay results. To maximize safety and efficiency, the drilling program is being performed by local Quebec drilling contractor To Miners. Canada Silver Cobalt Works is cautiously optimistic and aims to enable the further exploration and discovery of this area. With the current diamond drilling program, the company is positioning itself for success in its exploration and production efforts in the Lowney-Lac Édouard Prospect in Quebec.
