“Fueling Success – Q3-2023 Results Show Record Profits, Expansion Into Uranium & Rare Earths”.
Energy Fuels Inc., a leading producer of uranium and vanadium, released its third-quarter 20203 results which indicated a significant increase in its working capital, making it one of the most successful uranium mining companies in the industry. The company reported $18.8 million in revenue, which was its highest quarterly revenue since 2016. It also reported a net income of $6.3 million, an impressive increase from a net loss of $0.6 million in Q3 2022. Furthermore, Energy Fuels achieved a profitable sale of uranium concentrate for the quarter, generating cash proceeds of nearly $14 million, including a net pay of more than $11 million. This sale provided an immediate increase in the company’s working capital position, strengthening its balance sheet and reducing borrowings. The company has also continued to make progress on the development of projects across the United States and Canada. During the third quarter of 2021, Energy Fuels negotiated the transfer of the White Mesa Mill from the U.S. Department of Energy. As one of the first steps in the transfer process, Energy Fuels requested and received approval to begin construction of a new liquid effluent collection system at the mill from the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. In addition, Energy Fuels has continued to progress on construction of the Sheep Mountain mine in Wyoming and advancement of the Piñon Ridge mill in Colorado. The company is advancing both projects with the aim of commencing the production of uranium and vanadium concentrates in 2024. Looking ahead, management is confident that the execution of their strategic plans and positive working capital will not only generate long-term value for shareholders, but also reduce the capitalization requirements needed to complete their projects. Energy Fuel’s strong performance and focus on uranium and vanadium production bode well for the company’s future, and shareholders should be satisfied with the progressive results in their transition from a uranium producer to a diversified uranium and vanadium producer.
