Costco, Target, and Walmart have recently issued a joint recall for nearly five million blenders sold between April 2018 and October 2020 due to a potential fire and laceration risk.
The four companies are asking consumers who purchased the Ninja Professional Blender BL660, Ninja Professional Plus Blender BL600, and the Ninja Total Crushing Blender BL610 to immediately stop using them and return them for a free replacement. The recalled blenders were sold exclusively at Costco, Walmart, and Target stores and on their respective websites. The recall affects both regular and one-day sales.
The recall was announced after the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) received 117 reports of the blender’s lids cracking or breaking in the United States, and 11 in Canada. The reports include 21 accounts of lacerations and 69 incidents of property damage from spilled contents in the U.S., and one incident of a minor burn in Canada.

Consumers with questions can contact SharkNinja toll-free at 888-847-9252 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.sharkrecall.com.
